A bit of background: JD Power® announces The ALG Residual Value awards annually, which are ”the automotive industry standard in recognizing vehicle models projected to hold the highest percentage of their manufacturer’s suggested retail price following a three-year period of ownership.” So in a nutshell, which cars hold their value best, which comes into play for overall value and performance, as well as re-sale, trade-ins, and the cost to lease a vehicle.
And as JD Power® points out, achieving the honor really underscores “an automaker’s success in the areas of long-term quality and design, as well as the overall desirability of automotive brands and their models.” ALG recognized Honda for continuing to deliver industry-leading value to consumers.
