Honda's Most Capable Adventure SUV -- Completely Rebuilt
The 2026 Passport isn't an update -- it's a ground-up redesign built around a "Born Wild" philosophy. Every dimension grew: the wheelbase is 2.75 inches longer, the body is an inch wider, the cargo area is bigger, and the ground clearance increased. The second-generation i-VTM4 torque-vectoring AWD is 40% stronger and 30% faster than before, and it comes standard on every single trim -- no exceptions.
For Clarksville families who want a two-row SUV that handles the Fort Campbell commute on Tuesday and the Land Between the Lakes trail on Saturday, the Passport makes a genuinely compelling case. The 12.3-inch Google-integrated touchscreen, tri-zone climate, and heated front seats make the daily drive comfortable. The all-terrain tires, skid plates, and seven drive modes make the weekend worth it.
Every Angle of the 2026 Honda Passport
Flared fenders, a shortened front overhang, and a squared-off stance that means business -- the new Passport looks the part from every angle.

285 HP. Torque-Vectoring AWD. Seven Drive Modes.
The 2026 Passport gets the same proven 3.5-liter V6 as the three-row Pilot, but paired with a brand-new 10-speed automatic and a second-generation AWD system that is genuinely more capable than what came before.
3.5L V6 -- 285 HP
A refined surge of power that delivers a satisfying growl under acceleration. Paired with a new 10-speed automatic and paddle shifters, it shifts cleanly at highway speeds and handles a full load of passengers without working hard.
2nd-Gen i-VTM4(R) AWD
Standard on every trim. The new rear drive unit handles 40% more torque and responds 30% faster than the previous generation. It can send 70% of total torque rearward and shift all of that to a single wheel -- standard on a $45K SUV, that's unusual.
Seven Drive Modes
Normal, Sport, Snow, Sand, Trail, Tow, and Individual (TrailSport Elite). Trail mode activates the TrailWatch camera and optimizes the AWD for loose terrain. Tow mode tunes throttle and shift points for pulling a bass boat to Lake Barkley.
When You Actually Want to Leave the Pavement
The TrailSport adds serious off-road hardware to an already capable platform -- without making the daily commute feel like a punishment. It's the right call for anyone who uses the Natchez Trace, Land Between the Lakes forest roads, or anything unpaved on the weekends.
Raised Ground Clearance and Approach Angle
The TrailSport's off-road-tuned suspension adds ground clearance and improves the approach angle -- the maximum angle you can climb without the front bumper making contact. The shortened front overhang of the redesigned Passport helps here too. Off-road angles: 23 degrees approach, 16.7 degrees breakover, 23.1 degrees departure.
Trail Info Display
In Trail mode, the 12.3-inch screen displays real-time pitch, roll, elevation, compass direction, and steering angle data. Useful for gauging trail steepness before committing, and for navigating unfamiliar terrain beyond the end of a mapped road.
Hill Descent Control and Skid Plates
Hill Descent Control maintains a steady, slow pace on steep descents -- essentially cruise control for going down a rocky hill. Steel skid plates designed with Honda Powersports engineers protect the undercarriage. They're rated to support the full weight of the vehicle impacting a rock.
General Grabber All-Terrain Tires
Co-developed exclusively with General Tire for the 2026 Passport TrailSport. The 275/60R18 Grabbers have a squared-off sidewall, tough side lugs, and a unique compound optimized for sand, mud, rocky terrain, and snow -- while remaining notably quiet on pavement. The largest tires ever fitted to a Honda SUV.
Built Tough Outside. Surprisingly Refined Inside.
The "Born Wild" design philosophy shows in the flared fenders and shortened front overhang. The refinement shows in the tri-zone climate, heated leather seats, and the widest cargo opening Honda has put in an SUV.
Born Wild Exterior Design
The 2026 Passport grew in every direction -- an inch wider with aggressively flared fenders that cover trail-ready 18-inch wheels and tires. The shortened front overhang improves approach angle on obstacles. Amber daytime running lights and an aluminum front scuff plate are exclusive to the TrailSport family, giving it an unmistakably purposeful look that separates it from any other Honda.

- Aggressively flared fenders over 18-inch wheels
- Shortened front overhang for improved approach angle
- Amber DRL and aluminum scuff plate (TrailSport)
- High-visibility recovery hooks -- orange (TrailSport)
- Available rock sliders and roof platform accessories
A Cabin That Works for Five Adults
The redesigned interior benefits from the longer wheelbase with improved rear seat legroom. New Body Stabilizing Seats are designed to reduce driver fatigue on long drives -- a genuine improvement you notice on a Nashville trip or a full day on rural Kentucky roads. Tri-zone automatic climate control means the driver, front passenger, and rear passengers can each set their own temperature.
- Body Stabilizing Seats -- new driver fatigue reduction design
- Tri-zone automatic climate control -- all trims
- Heated front seats standard -- all trims
- Leather seat inserts with contrast stitching -- RTL and above
- 40.5 inches of front legroom; improved rear legroom
- Physical climate control knobs -- no buried touchscreen menus
Cargo Space That Actually Earns the Name
The redesigned wider cargo area is noticeably more usable than before. Full-size golf bags now fit sideways across the floor -- previously they had to angle in. With the rear seats folded, two adult mountain bikes fit with front wheels removed. An underfloor storage compartment hides a full-size spare tire and keeps valuables out of sight. A rigid tonneau cover accessory doubles as a removable picnic table.
- 44 cu ft behind rear seats -- includes underfloor compartment*
- 83.8 cu ft with rear seats folded*
- Standard power tailgate -- all trims
- Wide cargo opening for easy loading
- Underfloor storage for full-size spare tire
- Available tonneau cover that converts to a picnic table
Google Built-In Standard. On Every Trim.
The 2026 Passport ships with a 12.3-inch touchscreen -- 54% larger than the previous model -- running Google built-in as standard across the entire lineup. Three-year data plan included.
12.3-Inch Touchscreen with Google Built-In
The new 12.3-inch HD touchscreen runs on an Android-based platform with Google built-in as standard on every 2026 Passport. That means Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play apps with a complimentary 3-year unlimited data plan. A 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster completes the cockpit. Three user-programmable shortcut buttons on the left side of the screen mean fewer menu layers for the features you use most.

- 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster -- all trims

Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, and Alexa
Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa built-in are all standard on every 2026 Passport. Drop your phone in the center console and everything appears on the 12.3-inch screen without a cable. The TrailSport Elite upgrades to a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system that makes the cabin feel considerably more premium than the exterior suggests it would.

- Wireless Android Auto -- all trims
- Amazon Alexa built-in -- all trims
- Wi-Fi hotspot -- all trims
- 9-speaker audio (RTL and TrailSport)
- 12-speaker Bose premium audio (TrailSport Elite)
Convenience Features That Earn Their Keep
The 2026 Passport's convenience upgrades are the kind you actually use. Remote engine start means the cabin is already at the right temperature when you walk out on a January morning in Clarksville. Two 115-volt household outlets on TrailSport trims power camp gear or a tailgate setup. The power tailgate is standard on every single trim.

Upgraded Safety on Every 2026 Honda Passport
The 2026 Passport gets an upgraded Honda Sensing suite with a wider field of view for cameras and radar. Standard across all seven trims, at no extra cost.
Collision Mitigation Braking
Wider camera and radar field of view for 2026. Detects vehicles and pedestrians ahead and can apply braking automatically if a collision is unavoidable. Standard on every Passport trim.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Maintains a set following distance including to a full stop in traffic. Useful on I-24 toward Nashville or US-41A during busy Fort Campbell commute hours. Standard on every trim.
Blind Spot Information
Standard on all 2026 Passport trims -- alerts you to vehicles in adjacent lanes. Particularly useful given the Passport's wider stance when merging onto I-24 or changing lanes in moderate traffic.
Lane Keeping Assist
Provides gentle steering input to keep the Passport in its lane. Paired with Road Departure Mitigation for a meaningful safety layer on long highway runs or rural two-lane roads around Montgomery County.
Rear Camera Washer
Standard on TrailSport and above -- automatically sprays and cleans the rear camera lens to keep it clear of mud and debris on unpaved roads. A small detail that makes a real difference after a trail run.
TrailWatch(TM) Camera System
Exclusive to TrailSport Elite -- four exterior cameras display front wide-view, side views, and 360-degree overhead view with tire path graphics. Activates automatically in Trail mode below 15 mph.

How the Passport Stacks Up
The Passport sits in a competitive segment. Buyers often cross-shop it against purpose-built off-roaders and other midsize two-row SUVs. Here is how the comparisons actually break down.
Standard AWD. V6. The Whole Package.
Some competitors charge extra for AWD, some offer it only on upper trims, and some require a powertrain upgrade to get it. The 2026 Passport ships with torque-vectoring AWD standard on every trim, every configuration, no exceptions. That changes the value math.
Full comparison pages are coming soon. The key stats below tell you where the important differences are.
Honest comparisons. Real specs. We'll note where rivals have a genuine advantage too.
Passport vs. Toyota 4Runner
The 4Runner has body-on-frame construction and legendary off-road cred. The Passport is more refined on pavement and considerably less expensive. See where each wins.
Passport vs. Ford Bronco
The Bronco is a purpose-built off-roader. The Passport can handle real trails but daily drives more comfortably. Compare standard features and on-road refinement alongside capability.
Passport vs. Hyundai Santa Fe
The Santa Fe is roomier and more affordable. The Passport has standard AWD, a stronger V6, and genuine off-road capability the Santa Fe can't match. Worth a close look.
Passport vs. Jeep Grand Cherokee
Grand Cherokee is a premium nameplate with a wide price range. Compare standard equipment, reliability track record, and what you actually get at equivalent price points.
Passport vs. Chevrolet Blazer
The Blazer is road-focused and stylish. The Passport offers genuine off-road hardware the Blazer can't match -- compare what matters when you shop this class.
Passport vs. Honda Pilot
Still deciding between the two? The Pilot adds a third row and seats up to 8. The Passport is more rugged, more capable off-road, and has a wider cargo floor. A close call for many families.
