2025 Honda Civic Hybrid

2025 honda civic hybrid

Miss the Honda Civic? We’ve got some GREAT news for you! Sure, not all 2024 makes and models have even been released yet, but let’s look past that pending excitement, all the way into 2025: What’s that zipping onto the scene? Yep, the Honda Civic is back for 2025- Honda’s confirmed it, so let the countdown begin at Jenkins & Wynne Honda!

Honda is bringing the popular electrified compact back after it’s hiatus- the automotive company had put Civic to pasture after nine years to make way for the Honda Insight Hybrid. But Honda has announced the Insight will no longer be produced, so there’s room to welcome the beloved Civic back into the lineup!

What does that mean for you, Tennessee? Well, rolling out the newest model Civic is going to be a progression, so it’ll be a while before the beloved compact hits the Jenkins & Wynne showroom. According to Autoweek® online, the Civic will be released as both a sedan and hatchback- good news to Civic fans everywhere.

Honda has announced they’ll ramp up Civic sedan production next year in Canada at its Alliston, Ontario manufacturing plant, releasing it as a 2025 model. Then later, the company plans to start Civic hatchback production at Honda's factory in Indiana. Closer to home means closer to our showroom, so you can be sure we’ll keep you posted for order bank and release details as they become available.

Autoweek® reports, “Honda notes that the 2.0-liter Atkinson inline-four and the two-motor hybrid system will make their respective ways to the Civic shell. It’s hard to say if the Civic Hybrid will get a slightly different tune or not, but the CR-V Hybrid uses this 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle four-cylinder and the hybrid system to send 204 hp to the wheels.”

While it’s a pleasant surprise that Honda has made this announcement, it’s no surprise that Honda is intent on bulking up its electric and hybrid vehicle lineup. The company has been very clear about their commitment to EVs.  The 2024 Honda Prologue is a great example of this: the vehicle is Honda’s biggest bet yet on the EV market, and is positioned to be a standout in the segment. The all-electric Prologue will go on sale in early 2024, and the industry is already buzzing about Honda’s contribution to the EV SUV segment. While they haven’t released all the details yet, Honda has said it expects the Prologue to get 300 miles from a single full charge of its 85-kWh capacity battery.

Based on what the Prologue will offer, you can expect the 2025 Honda Civic to offer all kinds of fun and functional tech, including blind-zone steering, rear pedestrian alert system, rear cross-traffic braking system, and if it’s any indication, note that the Prologue comes standard with adaptive cruise control, a collision-mitigation system, road-departure mitigation, lane-keep assist, and other Honda package perks.

Now that we’ve piqued your curiosity, rest assured Jenkins & Wynne Honda is committed to keeping you informed of Civic’s production progress.
